Beyond the Label – Rethinking Food & Greenwashing

How sustainable is our food system—really? In this eye-opening session, participants explored the impact of food distribution scales, from local markets to global supply chains, and how these systems affect fairness, access, and sustainability. The afternoon challenged us even more, as we unpacked the concept of greenwashing—not just identifying it, but embodying it through dynamic role-play activities. By stepping into the mindset of companies that mislead with eco-friendly claims, participants developed a sharper, more critical lens to navigate sustainability in today’s world.

Wisdom of the Land – Traditional Ecological Knowledge

What can the past teach us about the future of our planet? In this enriching session, participants explored Traditional Ecological Knowledge—ancestral wisdom rooted in harmony with nature. By sharing sustainable practices from their home countries, they uncovered how cultures across Europe have long lived in balance with their environment. The session sparked reflection on how reviving and respecting these traditions can help us reconnect with nature and build more sustainable futures.

How do our everyday choices shape the future of the planet? On this day, participants explored the foundations of sustainability—environmental, social, and economic—through interactive discussions and hands-on learning. A highlight of the session was the simulation of a local food economy, where participants experienced how supply chains, distribution, and consumer habits impact the sustainability of our food systems.

Europe Matters – Understanding the EU Through Dialogue & Play

What does the European Union mean to today’s youth? This interactive workshop invited participants to explore the EU’s role in shaping our societies, rights, and everyday lives. Through open discussions, they tackled complex questions about European identity, unity, and the challenges facing the EU. In the second part of the day, participants put their knowledge to the test through quizzes and riddles—strengthening bonds while celebrating their shared Europeanness in a playful and engaging way.
