In this eye-opening session, participants explored the impact of food distribution scales, from local markets to global supply chains, and how these systems affect fairness, access, and sustainability. The afternoon challenged us even more, as we unpacked the concept of greenwashing—not just identifying it, but embodying it through dynamic role-play activities. By stepping into the mindset of companies that mislead with eco-friendly claims, participants developed a sharper, more critical lens to navigate sustainability in today’s world.

Wisdom of the Land – Traditional Ecological Knowledge

On this day, participants explored the foundations of sustainability—environmental, social, and economic—through interactive discussions and hands-on learning. A highlight of the session was the simulation of a local food economy, where participants experienced how supply chains, distribution, and consumer habits impact the sustainability of our food systems.
Europe Matters – Understanding the EU Through Dialogue & Play

What does the European Union mean to today’s youth? This interactive workshop invited participants to explore the EU’s role in shaping our societies, rights, and everyday lives. Through open discussions, they tackled complex questions about European identity, unity, and the challenges facing the EU. In the second part of the day, participants put their knowledge to the test through quizzes and riddles—strengthening bonds while celebrating their shared Europeanness in a playful and engaging way.

Waste Not – Rethinking What We Throw Away

Where does our waste go—and what can we do about it? This impactful workshop took participants on a journey through the complexities of modern waste management. From landfills to circular economies, we explored the environmental consequences of our consumption and the urgent need to rethink how we handle waste. Through dynamic discussions and solution-driven brainstorming, young people worked together to imagine a cleaner, more responsible future—one action at a time.

What does it really mean to live in a just society? In this foundational workshop, participants unpacked the core concepts of justice, society, and human rights. Through rich discussions and real-life examples, we explored what makes us human—our needs, our identities, and the complexities that shape them. Delving into moral dilemmas and role-playing scenarios, we reflected on how context, culture, and power influence fairness and equality in everyday life.

Power & Privilege – From Awareness to Empowerment

Who holds power—and why does it matter? This thought-provoking session invited participants to examine the invisible forces that shape our lives: privilege, authority, and access. Through self-reflection and group discussion, we uncovered how privilege is maintained, legitimized, and challenged. We explored the journeys of marginalized groups toward empowerment, analyzing historical milestones, ongoing struggles, and what meaningful progress looks like today.

Designing Justice – Democracy, Debate & Social Change

Can a truly just society exist? In this dynamic workshop, participants stepped into the role of justice architects—creating debate spaces to question the very foundations of fairness, democracy, and social systems. Through engaging discussions, we examined how prejudices and stereotypes challenge equality, and how democracy can serve—or sometimes fail—to support social justice. By analyzing real-world obstacles and imagining new frameworks, young people reflected on what it takes to build a more just and inclusive future.

Activism in Action – Expressing Justice Through Creativity
7 December, 2023
What if art could speak for justice? In this vibrant and expressive session, participants transformed social issues into powerful works of art—each piece telling a story of inequality, hope, and resistance. Through a pop-up exhibition, participants explained the messages behind their creations and how they reflect real societal challenges. Later, the energy shifted to activism as teams designed and enacted creative social justice campaigns, turning ideas into action and imagination into impact.
